ALR (Ambient Light Rejection) fabrics have transformed projection in living rooms. But they're not always the right choice.
If you have windows, recessed ceiling lights, or other ambient light sources in the projection room, ALR fabric can double or triple perceived image brightness. Our TT-E04 and TT-F03 ALR screens deliver gain values of 2.0–2.5.
In a properly darkened home theater, ALR's narrower viewing angle can create 'hot spots' for off-axis seating. The matte white surface provides equal brightness across a 160° viewing cone — ideal for rows of theater seating.
